Next MoMo Tokyo at MTV Studio Cafe

MTV Studio Cafe in Harajuku by Mobikyo KKSpecial thanks to all those who came out for our New Year Shinnenkai last week! It was a great way to kick off 2006. You might have noticed some of us were running a bit late as a result of the concurrent Mobile Industry Panel hosted by MoMo Tokyo sponsor Morgan Lewis – TMI on the same evening. By all accounts both events were packed and provided valuable mobile insight and connections for participants.

Now that the party season is over (Phew!), we’re getting back into our regular MoMo format starting off this month at the MTV Studio Cafe in Harajuku for the next event on 27 February. We’ve got a line-up of super presentations from the cutting-edge mobile folks at DG Mobile and Technorati Japan. We’ll be streaming live video to the fixed and mobile web, a MoMo first!

Kenichi Sugi — Project Manager — DG Mobile.PPT HERE
Digital Garage Inc. was founded in Tokyo in 1995 and went public in December 2000. DG Mobile was founded as a strategic subsidiary in the mobile business area starting with “Mobile Contents Business for 3G” as its first business activity. The effort includes software sales, rich content production and systems operation services using the Mobile Comic Solution developed by Celsys, Inc., which has capital and business tie-ups with DG Mobile. In addition, DG Mobile is committed to the extension of its business into potential growth areas, including mobile commerce, overseas market and mobile advertising.

Fumi Yamazaki — Marketing Manager — Technorati Japan.PPT HERE
Technorati, an industry leader in tracking what’s happening on the Web right now, partnered with Digital Garage to launch Technorati Japan services in May 2005, marking Technorati’s first foray into international markets. Mobile Monday Summit – 10th Anniversary

About Mobile Monday

Mobile Monday (MoMo) is an open community platform of mobile industry visionaries, developers and influential individuals fostering brand neutral cooperation and cross-border business opportunites through live networking events to demo products, share ideas and discuss trends from both local and global markets. Originating in Helsinki Finland, in 2000, events are organized by some 300 dedicated volunteers from around the world and it has become an industry leading mobile platform. Chapters have launched in over 100 cities, spanning 50 countries, worldwide and we continue to launch new locations monthly.

Mobile Monday Tokyo, launched in September 2004, has become a leading networking organization supporting the local mobile industry and is a key gathering point for corporate managers, entrepreneurs, developers, analysts and the media in Japan. MoMo Tokyo hosts regular networking events that routinely attract 100-200 participants working within the wireless industry. Founded by Mobikyo, our events are made possible by the generous and energetic contributions from many ‘Friends of MoMo’ Ambassadors.
